WTP : Minnesota Edition Our newest Senator (which should be confirmed within two weeks now) from Minnesota - wrote this pretty good passage about Celibacy. In his book "Lies, and the Lying Liars that Tell Them" Apparently, sometime a few years ago - the schools decided to withhold support for teaching contraception and instead , with the help and support of the religious right - went on a riff about "Celibacy Pledging". Franken decided to send letters to all the Senators and a few of the Representatives involved in the effort. He wrote , (I para) Dear Senator _______, Thank you for your support of Celibacy programs in the United States school systems. Teenagers today, thanks to you - are taking 'Celibacy Pledges' - and instead of learning about contraception, or safe sex, they're learning about the wonders of Celibacy! I was wondering, if you could share your Celibacy Story with us, as you were a teenager? Would you mind sending your "Celibacy Story" to me, at the given return address. I was hoping to publish them in a book entitled "Celibacy Heroes" which we could circulate with the other valuable material now being presented in American schools.
