Have you Ever grown up feeling as if your mother, your own flesh and blood hated you?

exactly They tell you that they love you, but everything they do is just the opposite.

I'm older, but it still stings like a mofo all I can say is that you have my complete sympathies.

This morning I was ridin the bus to work, listenin to my cd player and this song ed ONE by U2 came on. This is a song that I have heard many times over in the past few years but for some reason the lyrics really hit home this time. I instantly started crying just thinkin about it. They described exactly how I feel about my mother at this point in time. People have told me many times over that I should try to sit down and talk with her about it, which I have. But its hard to do when she just sits there motionless and emmotionless. Its like my words fall on deaf ears. The worse part is that she is doing the same thing to my baby sis and she is only 12 years old. This was the inspiration for my post.

You're the older sis You have no idea how important you are in the life of your younger sis. My older sister kept me alive while I was a teen. Even now I repeat things she said to me. She asked, "Are you crazy?" I said "I don't think so." Even though I did wonder. She said, "well, I'm not either. So if it's not you, and it's not me, it must be her." That's my mantra when I deal with mom now.

What she doesnt know is that she is the reason why I am alive today. If it were not for her I would probably be dead somewhere. She keeps me grounded, just by being the beautiful lil girl that she is.

I never considered that it might work both ways

Yes it does It definately does work both ways. I know that I am her rock most times and she knows that she is mine. But i dont think she knows to what extent I love her. It sounds strange but its almost as if I am in love with her. She is my heart. My everything. I dont know what I would have done without her.

mine directly told me she didn't love me so i didn't have to figure it out.
